Hi Everyone, On June 12-14, 2009, we will be holding a retreat at the Monroe Institute to kick off the national Local Chapter Network. This meeting is designed for TMI graduates who are interested in facilitating a local chapter in their area. We define “local chapter” broadly – basically, a gathering of people who love Hemi-Sync and enjoy listening to CDs and exploring the world of consciousness together. Local chapters are an important component of The Monroe Institute’s new mission and direction. Local chapters can play a key role in supporting TMI graduates, introducing new people to Hemi-Sync and TMI programs, and providing resources and networking opportunities. Currently, we know of about 10 local chapters in the U.S. and several in other parts of the world. Some of these groups are as small as 2-3 people, others have as many as 20 members. Some restrict their members to TMI graduates, others are open to anyone. If you are currently leading a group or if you are interested in starting one, please consider attending the retreat! Together, we’ll determine the purpose and direction of the Network, establish an effective communication system, and identify ways that TMI could provide institutional support to local chapters. Of course, we’ll use Hemi-Sync exercises to help us manifest and create this new movement! If you are able to attend, TMI will cover your food and lodging and will arrange airport pick-ups. You need only to cover your travel to and from the Institute. Please let Sue Lotz know if you are interested in attending. She may be reached at TMI at 866-881-3440 or via email: sue.lotz@monroeinstitute.org. Please RSVP by Friday, May 22, 2009. Laura Davis lauradavis3@verizon.net

After experiencing the difference Hemi-Sync® technology had on my personal performance in the mid-1990s, I wanted to bring this pioneering work to the world of sports so I founded In-Sync Sport International, Inc. It’s the In-Sync Sport exercises I developed that The Monroe Institute allows you to access directly, free of charge on their website.

Interestingly, we had many top professional athletes that used Hemi-Sync to improve their own performances back then, but they were reluctant to share these critical insights with others. It turns out, professional sports is a seriously competitive business!

It is my hope now that more and more athletes realize the value of improved mental performance to reach their full potential, the work we did together at The Monroe Institute will gain a new audience. And you can easily share what you’ve discovered; after all, now it’s free!

Wishing you the best in personal performance,

    Mark Gonsalves

The process that In-Sync Sport is please to bring you is a highly effective manner of funneling the inherent resources of mind and body toward the accomplishment of your goals. Simply click here to listen to the exercises directly from your computer or download them free for use on your iPod or MP3 player.

The Personal Resources Exploration Program or PREP is a personalized Hemi-Sync® auditory-guidance session conducted in a specially designed, secluded cubical. The PREP session is introduced as an aspect of the Guidelines® program. Graduates of the Guidelines program are eligible to participate in additional PREP sessions at a later time. Although PREP sessions have gained a reputation over the last twenty years for providing intense personal experiences, they should not be thought of as a shortcut or as a means to an experience that has not otherwise been available to you. Stated another way, if you are already experiential using the Hemi-Sync technology, the PREP session is your next step.

How does a PREP session work?

A participant is supported throughout the uniquely personalized session with customized, computer-generated Hemi-Sync and verbal guidance provided by a trained facilitator.

The sessions consist of three parts:

First, you will spend some time talking with your facilitator, gaining clarity on your goals and objectives for the session. You may wish to give some thought to what you would like to accomplish and explore prior to arriving for your session. Goals have ranged broadly from the more general, “I would like to be more consciously aware of the energies/guidance around me” to working with very specific personal issues. External electrodes will be attached to several of your fingers enabling the monitoring and recording of physiological measurements of your skin temperature, galvanic skin response, and skin potential voltage. Then you will be assisted to lie comfortably on the special dry-flotation system in the booth and then put on the headphones. A microphone in the booth allows for two-way communication between you and the facilitator at all times and for recording your narrative of the events of your experience.

Second, the facilitator will remain outside of the booth at the control station. When you are ready, Hemi-Sync will be introduced to you through the headphones, and the facilitator will begin to guide you on a journey. As your personal exploration unfolds, adjustments in the Hemi-Sync signals will be made in order to facilitate and enhance your experience.

Third, at the conclusion of your guided exploration, you will be assisted from the booth for a debriefing. At this time, you may gain further understanding and integration of your experience and continue the grounding process. An audio cassette tape of the narrative of your session and printouts of your physiological responses will be given to you before your departure. The entire session, including your intake interview, guided exploration, and debriefing, will take approximately two hours.

Rosie McKnight

Rosie McKnight

Rosalind McKnight has always had an inquisitive mind and an exploratory nature. She gives her parents, Tim and Hester Buck, credit for helping her to get “bitten by the travel bug” early in life. Having eight children did not stop her parents from taking a yearly two-week vacation to some distant corner of the country. After she visited every state in the United States, she set her sights on Europe. She attended business-college in Dayton, Ohio after high school. When she graduated, she became a volunteer for an organization that assigned her to Switzerland and Germany.

Then journeys turned to the inner vistas of the mind-education. She graduated from Manchester College in Indiana, majoring in Peace Studies and Sociology. She became a youth fieldworker, traveling throughout Ohio for four years, working with the youth of 52 churches. Feeling that she needed further education, she attended Union Theological Seminary in New York City, where she earned her Master of Divinity degree.

For two years she worked as a counselor at The Sloane House YMCA in New York City and then moved to Virginia, where she met Robert Monroe. This led her in a new dimension of explorations. Robert Monroe, founder of The Monroe Institute, was doing exploration and research into practical methods of accelerated learning through expanded forms of consciousness.

Rosalind became one of Robert Monroe’s Explorers in 1972 and worked with him for the next eleven years doing extensive research in his laboratory. During the time Rosalind was working with Robert Monroe, she was a part-time instructor at Blue Ridge Community College, Central Virginia Community College, and Virginia Western Community College. She taught courses in extrasensory perception, parapsychology, and death and dying. She also founded the Creative Living Institute and became its director, sponsoring conferences and seminars throughout Virginia on various personal growth topics. In her natural exploratory style, Rosalind also led tours to Great Britain, Europe, and Central America.

Just a heads up that Kimberly Nunn, a TMI chapter member in Cleavland OH, will be speaking about TMI on her radio show, Kimberly in Cleveland, on Sedona Talk Radio on Monday, February 16 from 9-10pm EST.  You can listen to the broadcast at Sedona Talk Radio’s website for free, and this is a call-in program, so I’m sure that all of the listeners would love your input!

This is also a good chance to remind all of you to let us know what your local chapters are up to as a group and as individuals, as we love hearing from you and would love to share your stories with the larger TMI community!

Thanks,

Amelia

The Following programs still have some open spots, and we would love to see you! • emotional cleansing,
  • programming your future.

March 28-April 3Creative Flow: Reawaken that part of you that longs to live a more enriched, flowing and truly creative life!

You might have noticed that we’ve been putting a lot of videos from Youtube on here lately, and I wanted to take a minute to point you to our youtube site and also share another video with you.  One of the coolest things about living in this current time is that we can literally show and tell each other what we’re thinking and discovering with relative ease.  This is an important function of our new website (on the web at the beginning of January, remember) and something that we at TMI are really hoping to utilize to continue and further the global discussion about consciousness.  Please take a look at the newest video that Skip posted, and of course, there’s a whole lot more where this came from!  ;-)
