Creativity is the magic of our universe. It shapes our lives, enriches our souls and helps manifest our dreams. The very word elicits a variety of emotions for many of us; a longing to be creative, awe for those who are, and a deep knowing that we once were as children, and still are deep within! There are many stages of the creative process to explore and an infinite number of ways to express that creativity. We are offering a new six-day residential program called Creative Flow in August designed to reawaken that part of yourself that longs to live a more enriched, flowing and truly creative life!
If a weekend retreat seems like just the thing for you right now, Peter Russell’s Opening to Stillness will be an opportunity to deepen your practice of meditation and explore more fully the nature of spiritual awakening. There will be guided meditation instruction, silent group meditation, alone time in nature, and talks and discussions on various aspects of meditation and the process of awakening. The emphasis will be on the practice of profound simplicity, helping you discover new ways to let go and open to the stillness of natural mind.
The Institute of Noetic Sciences (IONS) frequently collaborates with other organizations that have similar values, aims, and interests in consciousness and transformation. Such alliances enable IONS to support the development of partner organizations and the communities they serve. TMI and IONS recently renewed their stragetic partnership because we both are dedicated to the exploration of human consciousness and discovering the many possibilities of human potentiality. TMI will continue to offer the Gateway Voyage at ION’s scenic campus in Petaluma, California.
Reconstruction of the dam spillway has been completed. Walking to the top of the dam, you will discover Lake Miranon a favorite spot for our guests.
We are remodeling the Bob Monroe Research Lab building; adding three offices and upgrading the isolation booth.
On June 30, we will begin a major remodeling and modernization of the David Francis Hall meeting room and multimedia center. The next time you visit you will enjoy our fresh, new look.
Can’t wait to see David Francis underway!
In a recent email Paul Rademacher wrote …
The idea I’m floating here is that, TMI has done an excellent job through the years of providing the context for self exploration. This has proven to be an extraordinary gift and the overwhelming support and enthusiasm of our graduates is proof of that. Could it be that our next step is to expand our notion of transformation to a global scale? Could it be that our service, which we have usually thought of as service to individuals who happen to be dispersed all over the world, needs to be expanded, dramatically reframed to service to the world, using the talents of individuals who have themselves been transformed at some core level?
Have TMI programs been creating a population of people who are stretching the scale for human development and potential? What if we were to find a way to employ their talents in a dramatic, concerted effort? Could it be that the programs that TMI has been offering so far are actually an initiation into, and preparation for, higher service?
This is something that I have been hoping would happen for a long time. I’ve always had the strange sensation of being physically very far from TMI (I live on the west coast of British Columbia) but psychically feeling very close. In addition to the creation of outreach facilitators I think it would be a good idea to also create the infrastructure of numerous mini-TMIs all over the globe. (I put in a request right now for one somewhere in BC!)
By mini-TMI what I mean is that instead of places where workshops are done on a temporary basis, there need to be permanent locations dedicated to creating the Gateway and other experiences full time.
PB I echo your wish for a location in BC. I also live on the west coast of British Columbia. (Victoria). Paul Elder does a great job on some outreach programs here.
I know a few other people from Vancouver Island who went to Monroe. It would be nice if there was some sort of “locations” database from Monroe where we could contact other Monroe grads (with permissions) in the same geographical area as one lives, and get local groups meeting to exchange ideas and inspiration.
Yes! This Sunday, IONS is having a get together in Big Sur – I went to a fundraiser they had in Pebble Beach last December which was most astounding, what an incredible collection of people (especially James O’Dea) and the faerie dust of transformation was in the air.
I’m so delighted that TMI wants to move towards that SHIFT that we’re all feeling right now. As the mountainsides in Big Sur burn wildly, I get the sense of all the old dying oaks making way for the redwood seeds being sprung by the high temperatures, getting ready to relaim their heritage. Do you know that Redwoods once covered most of North America and China?
Anyway, strong synergies are emerging amongst many who are ready to let the tired old energies of getting and spending which lay waste our powers burn out. And the seeds of rebirth and renewal are already hoisted by the wind. Together we shall succeed.
Orbs “at work”
In the next to the last paragraph of the original post, you will see the link entitled “remodeling” in reference to remodeling the Bob Monroe Research Lab building.
(www.monroeinstitute.com/PBWeditor/upload/Image/remodlab.JPG ) , you will see at least 15 orbs next to the worker…and I bet he thought he was working alone!
