This is a good place to comment on and ask questions about the use of Hemi-Sync.
I went through counting the books for sale that were published by Hampton Roads, both during my tenure there and afterwards. I counted 16, and I can’t tell you how proud I am.
I remember coming out of my own life-transforming Gateway in December 1992 and determining that we would publish any TMI-related books we could. The first, out of print now, was Ronald Russell’s “Using the Whole Brain.” Joe McMoneagle’s Mind Trek was second, I think. (At one time, unless I am mistaken, Hampton Roads had published every book for sale at TMI except Bob Monroe’s own books, and at one point it looked like we might even get the chance to publish “Ultimate Journey.”)
And then came so many great personal transformation stories. Well, this is the place for them!
I’ve been to residential programs at TMI in Virginia and use Hemi-Sync at home. I wanted to post a couple of suggestions from a user perspective in support of the efforts of TMI.
Hopefully you have experienced some of the many benefits that the Hemi-Sync technology can offer to you (as well as your family, friends, co-workers, etc). Benefits such as:
- Reduced stress
- Increased creativity
- Increased confidence
- Spiritual development
And the list goes on and on. Unfortunately, life’s demands and obligations can sometimes become challenging and temporarily prevent us from doing the things we love and enjoy. Often it can seem like it must be an either/or choice. But it doesn’t have to be that way!
Here are two tricks that even the busiest people can use to experience some to all of the benefits of a trip to Focus 10 or beyond. It can take as little as 2 minutes a day and is as easy as sleep!
Technique #1 – Speakers surrounding your bed.
This is real easy to do. Buy 2 reasonable quality speakers (A good balance of price/performance is the Klipsch Promedia Ultra 2.0) and place one on each side of your bed. Pick either the Super Sleep or Lucid Dream CD and put it on loop. If you’re more technically hip, use an iPod and create an 8 hour playlist that ends with Morning Exercise to be awakened and refreshed with the voice of Bob Monroe. Or you could also use Cable Car, METAMUSIC, etc.
Doing this will help you achieve deeper and more restful sleep. Even if you sleep on your side, the gentle sounds of ocean surf will help guide you to sleep quicker and provide excellent white noise. Having an iPod playlist schedule for 8 hours will also serve as an alarm that doesn’t jar you awake with a loud noise. Rather, it can gently pull you out of the sleep state.
Technique #2 – Morning Human Plus / Mind Food / Focus Exercises.
This tip may take some self-discipline to get started, but if developed into a habit, will greatly help the night owls among you to get started on a positive note. What you do here is the following:
Set your alarm for 35 minutes prior to when you normally get up. As soon as you awaken, put on your headphones for a 30 minute track. It could be a Human Plus exercise, or a journey to Focus 21 and beyond.
It doesn’t matter, but you should decide before you go to bed and have it ready to go so you minimize the amount of effort. Most likely the track will put you back into sleep within 5-10 minutes.
Remember, sleeping through the track is fine. The unconscious part of the brain will still pick it up and learn it regardless of whether or not you’re awake. Even better, the time spent using Hemi-Sync should leave you more refreshed than if you had spent that last 35 minutes sleeping. You’re body is usually more relaxed in the morning anyway, so your ability to benefit from the Hemi-Sync sound patterns may in fact be greater because your mind chatter will be greatly reduced.
So there you have it. Two quick and easy techniques to use Hemi-Sync technology for even the busiest lifestyle. I hope you give it a try and keep experiencing all the wonderful benefits the technology has to offer. And if you feel you need to truly get away to immerse yourself into Hemi-Sync, consider an on-campus program.
Hi Great Suggestions
Frank I’ve read your posts (at Hampton Road) before I feel you really have some great ideas, including the “Visionary Fiction” catagorie (isn’t yet implemented in Australia either but should be) I find it hard as a book seller to catagorise some of the spiritual/metaphysical cross over releases. I’m glad TMI have the bookshop blog and that your years at work supporting TMI from Hampton Road continue, your books are brilliant covering not only TMI but Hologram as well. If you ever come out to Australia please drop me a line.
Rick your techniques are very interesting I’ll be setting up the speakers…. headphones make it hard to sleep on your side (which is normal sleep pose for me) We lose more time (or our sence of it has accelerated to such an extent that we “feel” we have no time) and any way that helps control this over hyperactive perception is certianly worth working with. I found that listening to Human Plus Let go is better than a catnap, it does leave you more refreshed and able to cope.
I had a report/question about Wave I Sleep Exploration, but I think I put it in the wrong place, under “Journeys”. It looks like I should have put it here. Rather than repeat it again under this heading, here’s the link to the comment 6 in the Journeys section:

Hopefully some kind soul will consider my conundrum and offer some suggestions or guidance. Thanks!
Dear TMI bookshop managers,
I’m amazed by Robert Monroe books, espessially by “Ultimate Journey”!
Also Monroe books allowed me to understand better “Living on Love – The Messenger” book by Klaus Joehle. Please consider selling this book in your bookstore – it’s about sending love. And it works very well when you visit yourself at earlier age – you send yourself love and with this energy your younger self makes better decisions.
I definetly want to learn OOB and to begin exploring new non-physical friends!
